Videos: Spore & TF2, Oh My!

This video is what inspired Will Wright to create the game Spore. Unfortunately Spore will not grace our game rigs until summer or fall of 2007 but it looks to be worth the wait. What’s not to like; primordial ooze, semi-controlled evolution, alien abduction, laser beams, and planet taxonomy. I have, however, learned my lesson (via Titan Quest) and will not be preordering the game. You can find more Spore information at the official site and spore.com. Watch the Powers of Ten video (below) to get a glimpse of Spore’s inspiration and scope. Then check out how this actually functions in terms of game play by watching this video.


The next video shows yet another game in the works – Team Fortress 2. The very fact that Valve is creating this little number could make TF2 the rule breaker for preordering. This will be bundled with HalfLife2: Episode 2, along with Portal, which is absolutely amazing package. This trailer shows the various classes and gives you a strong taste of the games flavor. Yummy! Either of these titles should break my WoW addiction ;)
